We exist to educate students with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the classical Christian tradition cultivating their hearts, souls and minds to flourish in the peace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The vision statement for Simply Providence School for special needs students in Rock Hill, SC. — Our vision

When providing a classical Christian education to students with special needs, Simply Providence will teach the Christian faith, strengthen families, and serve as a model for other schools.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ will be taught alongside classical Christian instruction and shared through parents, faculty, staff, and students of Providence Classical School and Simply Providence to unite and care for the members of the body of Christ, as instructed in 1 Corinthians 12:12-25.

Danielle Thompson

Head of School of Simply Providence

Danielle is the Head of School of Simply Providence. She has an Associate of Arts degree from Columbia Basin College in Washington state. She joins the team with eleven years of experience as a homeschooling mom of eight. Prior to joining the Simply Providence faculty, Danielle was the Director and Lead Teacher of the RISE program of LIFE homeschool co-op, where she taught students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her daughter, Hanna, is a Simply Providence student.

Danielle and her husband of 23 years, Jason, have been blessed with a full quiver with eight beautiful children.

Kathy Eiff

Director of Advancement of Simply Providence

Kathy is the Director of Advancement of Simply Providence. She has a B.A. in Intercultural Communication and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of New Mexico.

She joins the team with seven years of experience as a high school Spanish teacher, twelve years as a small business owner and two years of experience homeschooling her daughter using the Simply Classical curriculum. Her daughter, Mandy Chloe is a Simply Providence student.

By the grace of God, Kathy has been married to her husband Brandon (Athletic Director of PCS) for 18 years. They have been blessed with three children.

Emily Kendrick

Lead Teacher

Emily is a Lead Teacher at Simply Providence. She graduated from Hillsdale College in 2017 with her Bachelor of Arts in History, and received her Masters of Special Education from Arizona State University in 2020.

Emily has worked in the field of education for eight years. She taught in both charter schools and inner-city public schools and also spent two years working as a reading interventionist at a private dyslexia center. In her spare time, Emily served as an educational surrogate, advocating for students with disabilities in the foster care system. She also enjoyed volunteering and subbing at Simply Providence throughout the latter part of the 2025 school year.

Emily and her husband, Austin, were married in October of 2024. They live in the Rock Hill area with their cat, Smokey.

Dayna Johnston

Assistant Teacher

Dayna Johnston serves as Assistant Teacher at Simply Providence. Dayna joins the team with over a decade of experience working in Human Resources. She also has four years of experience as a homeschooling mom and two years of experience as a fourth-grade assistant teacher. Dayna has invested more than fifteen years of experience serving as a teacher in the Children's Department of her local church. For the past three years, she has had the privilege of serving alongside children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Dayna and her husband Jason have been married for 19 years and are blessed with a beautiful daughter.
